01Approach

A good income and good intentions don't always add up to a plan. That's the part Janice helps with.

Working with Janice

She listens

You'll talk about your goals, your worries and your family before you get into numbers.

She keeps it simple

If something doesn't make sense, she'll explain it again until it does. No jargon.

No judgment

Everyone has a few money habits they aren't proud of. That's normal, and it's where the work starts.

She follows up

Plans fall apart when nobody checks on them. Regular check-ins help you keep going.

02Meet Janice

Hello, I'm Janice.

For most of the families I work with, money isn't really about money. It's about security, about taking care of the people you love, and about finally feeling like you can breathe.

My background is in risk management, advising, and portfolio management, and I've walked alongside clients through some genuinely hard seasons, including recovery from gambling. What I've learned is that the best plan isn't the most complicated one. It's the one you understand, believe in, and can actually live with.

That's why I created Train Your Money™, and it's how I work with every client. I listen first. I explain things plainly. And I'm in your corner for the long haul.

If that sounds like the kind of partnership you've been looking for, I'd love to hear your story.

03Who she helps

Families who are doing fine on paper but want more control.

Busy families

Savers without a plan

You're putting money away every month. You'd like to know it's going to the right places.

People nearing retirement

Retirement is getting closer and you want to know where you stand and what to do next.

Anyone starting over

A job change, a divorce, a loss or a rough stretch with money. It's a good time to reset.

04Services

Three ways Janice can help.

I

Retirement Planning

When can you retire, and what will you live on? Janice builds a plan for saving and investing now, and for turning those savings into income once you stop working.

II

Budgeting

A spending plan built around how you actually live. Using Train Your Money™, you'll set up simple habits for spending and saving that you can keep up.

III

Financial Coaching

One-on-one sessions to work through money stress, set goals and build better habits. For individuals, couples and families.

05The method

Train Your Money™

Most budgets ask you to change everything at once, so they don't last. Train Your Money™ breaks the work into small steps you can keep doing.

01

See where it goes

Start with an honest look at where your money goes each month.

02

Set it up once

Automate savings and bills so good decisions don't depend on willpower.

03

Build the habit

Make small changes and check on them regularly until they stick.

06Small steps add up

See what a steady habit can grow into.

Move the sliders to see how saving the same amount each month adds up over time.

$500

Could grow to $0

Hypothetical example assuming a 6% average annual return, compounded monthly. It is not a projection or guarantee for any investment, and actual results will vary.

Who do you work with?

Individuals, couples and families who have income and savings but want help with a plan, a budget or getting ready for retirement.

What happens on the first call?

It's a 30-minute conversation. You tell Janice what's going on, she explains how she works, and you both decide if it's a good fit. You don't need to prepare anything.

I'm not good with numbers. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Janice explains everything in plain terms, and you can ask as many questions as you need.

I've tried budgeting before and it didn't last. Why would this be different?

Most budgets try to change everything at once. Janice starts with one or two changes, builds from there and checks in with you so the changes last.
